Jewish Family Congregation is located on a ten-acre estate on Smith Ridge Road (Route 123) in South Salem. Formerly a mansion designed by Stanford White in 1910, purportedly it was built for the family of Alexander Graham Bell. It is also said to have been owned originally by the Avon Sisters. The congregation refurbished and transformed it into the synagogue it is today.
