Midnight Run

distribute sack lunches and clothing to the homeless living on the streets of Manhattan. The experience is always a moving one. All day long homeless people remain invisible, people passing by them and never making eye contact. Generally they are avoided at all costs. The mitzvah of providing food and clothing not only helps them make it through another day, but also creates a vehicle for JFC volunteers to talk to them an add some humanity to their lives. What greater gift can be offered to another person?
